When Geoffrey Clarkson receives an unsolicited manuscript from an anonymous author, he imagines it's just another unpublished novel written by one of his former students. But when it becomes apparent that the protagonist of the novel resembles himself, and that the author knows all the intimate details of his love life, he begins to grow concerned. Things take a turn for the worst when the mysterious editor begins to hit delete on his former lovers, one by one.

Will Clarkson be able to write the editor out of his life? Or will his life and loves be completely erased?
